The Las Vegas residency will see Legend performing his greatest hits alongside a full band in what a press release described as “a vibrant, colorful celebration of love and coming together.”

The singer’s last album, Bigger Love, arrived in June 2020 and garnered him the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. His most recent single, “You Deserve It All,” arrived in November and was Legend’s first release with Republic Records after signing to the label that same month.

“Get ready for Love in Las Vegas!” John wrote. “My 2022 Vegas residency featuring your favorite songs from my entire career… full band… beautiful show…magical night.” “A lot of artists used to look at it as a place to kind of retire after you’ve had a career and you do a residency there. But now, I think Vegas, in so many ways, has become such a great destination,” he said. “Now, you have myself, Adele and Carrie Underwood all doing residencies there and they’re still in the prime of their careers. Vegas is such a destination for people to come from all over the world, so it’s like touring without having to go too far from where you live because everybody is coming to you.”
